This gun has been sporterized (meaning any excess wood that would have been used to protect it in a battle situation has been taken off). If it had not been sporterized, the gun would weigh about 2 lbs more. Although it might look cooler with extra wood, 2 lbs of excess bulk is a lot when you are trying to kill a deer at a distance of 200 yards.
It has also been tapped and had a scope mounted on it by a professional and local gunsmith. The scope is nothing to brag about, but it is accurate up to 200 yards. According to the gunsmith that tapped the scope rings, it would be very easy to mount another scope on it.
This gun is very similar to a 30-06 in caliber. It would be perfect for any young man or woman wanting to start hunting big game like deer, elk, moose, or even beer or any other person that is wanting to get out and start hunting. Also, there has also been a decrease in the cost of the British .303 rounds. Although, I am selling this gun with 40 loaded rounds, and about 100 extra brasses, it is nice to know that the rounds are actually an affordable $8.00-$15.00/20 rounds now compared to the $25.00/20 rounds they were when I first bought this gun.
I am asking $200.00 for everything. This gun is clean, sited in and ready to shoot. It needs no work.
The gun also comes with a cleaning kit, an ammo box and the loading dies for no extra cost.
